About Our Organization

SunMary Trust is a non-profit organization, founded by Mr. R. Joseph Rajapather and his wife, Mrs. Chinnarani Joseph. This Trust is dedicated to fight against disease, hunger, poverty, and illiteracy and bring hope to children with little or no hope.

The trust is supporting various causes within its local community such as:

  • Supporting destitute women to acquire skills in trade, and generate income to support their children.

  • Support poor, orphan or disabled children for education and room and board.

  • Develop AIDS awareness programs and support children suffering from AIDS.

  • Support children suffering from natural disasters such as tsunami, earthquakes, cyclone etc.

  • Support children affected by leprosy.

Founded in 2005, the Trust is led by Joseph Family and seven members of a board of trustees. None of them receives salary from the Trust. All work is done completely by volunteers, minimizing costs and overhead.

The trust was established in loving memory of Mary Nimmi and  Paul Sundara Rajan the youngest daughter and son-in-law of the founders.
